5) Stay Hydrated
One of the simplest ways to stay healthy this summer is by staying hydrated. When you’re at home, try to drink at least three litres of water each day. If you’re out in the sun, make sure to drink more water so that your body doesn’t overheat. If you’re exercising, it’s important to have access to water so that your muscles can properly recover.
6) Beware of Heat Stroke
Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and replenish electrolytes lost through sweating. Keep in mind that when your sweat levels are high, it’s best to drink fluids containing electrolytes such as Gatorade.
Monitor your heart rate, temperature, activity level, and weight. These factors can help indicate when you may be at risk for heat-related illness or injury.
