10 Summer Wellness Tips for a Healthy and Happy Life

9) Don’t Forget to Protect Your Skin

Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnosed in the United States, with more than 3.5 million new cases diagnosed each year. The best way to protect your skin from this harmful disease is by using sunscreen every day, especially if you are out in the sun for prolonged periods of time (at least fifteen minutes). But before you go slapping on some SPF 100, it’s important to understand how much time you should use sunscreen.

10) Stay Safe This Summer

For me, summer means increased time outside. While that might sound like fun, it can also mean increased exposure to germs if you’re not careful. Stay safe this summer by getting your annual flu shot, avoiding touching your eyes, nose or mouth with dirty hands, washing your hands often and staying home when you’re sick to avoid passing the germs on to others.
